"Capt.P.A.Emilio Carranza Rodriguez" Zapopan,Jalisco.

In this Facility are located the Zapopan AFB and the College of the Air.

In the "Escuela Militar de Aviación" are formed the Mexican Air Force Pilots and some pilots of other goverment agencies like the PGR (Procuraduria General de la Republica) and some pilots of the PFP (Policia Federal Preventiva), but this pilots now are preparing by the Mexican Navy. Los Cadetes of the College of the Air Training in the Aermacchi SF-260, Pilatus PC-7 and the Stearman PT-17 and the Beech F-33C.

In the Air Force Base are located two Search and Rescue Squadrons with Bell 205 and Cessnas. This Air Base works as air military deploy center to transport troops to the drugs zones to combat the narcotraffic like some towns of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacan and  Colima States.
